The ROGALJ Folk Orchestra from Novi Sad (Serbia) was founded with the purpose of preserving the musical creative work of the nation and its origin.
The members of the orchestra have cherished folk music from a young age, and thus far have held numerous, greatly attended performances.
The ROGALJ Folk Orchestra was founded in 2005 with the purpose of preserving and cherishing the folk and musical origin of the creative work of the nation and the nationality of Serbia. The ROGALJ Orchestra is led by artistic leader Branislav Tubic. The orchestra accomplishes its work through concerts, public performances on television and radio, festivals, manifestations and other cultural-artistic appearances in programs in the country and abroad. As well as this, they also work in co-operation with domestic and foreign vocal and instrumental soloists and technical and scientific organizations and individuals - much the same in the country as outside it.
The orchestra possesses many exceptional qualities: a high level of interpretation, musical talent, knowledge of different styles of folk music (with a lot of attention given to the ornamental structure of folklore), and, a diversified, rich and above all, varied repertoire. The repertoire is composed of compositions which are easily recognizable to fans and connoisseurs of folk music, as well as less well-known compositions which adequately represent the area which they come from. The interpretation of these compositions is at the highest level, which the members of the orchestra insist on.
The ROGALJ Folk Orchestra has had many performances to date. With an audience which is varied and high in number at every performance, the work and interpretation of the orchestra is heartily supported. Even now, the members of the orchestra continue to highly appreciate this in their work, and strive to hold onto the quality of their interpretations.
The following instruments are always used in the ROGALJ Folk Orchestra: accordion, clarinet, two violins, cello, guitar, double bass and percussion instruments.
